Employment, finding a Job, is something so many of us were taught growing up. Our parents had employment. Some worked their whole career with one company. Their Job was who they were. Then they retired and if they were lucky they had a pension to go along with their social security check. In the past that advice was pretty good but then things started to change. People will always be able to find employment. There will always be the need for certain jobs in this world. During the pandemic, these people were labeled “essential workers”. They perform jobs that provide us with the food and comfort and care we need. Many of these ‘essential’ jobs pay lower wages with little or no retirement future.
The thing you have to decide is whether you will be content to work from paycheck to paycheck and survive, or whether you will find a new way of thinking and start building the future you want instead of surviving in the life you have.
