There are a number of ways to become an Affiliate Marketer. You can take on a single company, or several companies. There is a lot of training out there. Some is free or you can “upgrade” for a price.
THE HARD WAY…
Now you need to decide how to be a marketer. If you haven’t had experience with this you should know that there is a LEARNING CURVE. Fortunately most big companies that offer Affiliate Opportunities also offer training. The problem is that they offer “Free” training but encourage you to “Upgrade” to their “Professional” package (the one that costs you money).
Probably the best way to use Affiliate Marketing is to base it on a blogging-type basis with a website to send interested people to. There are lots of companies out there who will provide a “Free” Website. Your number of pages will be limited and then you will pay a monthly service fee for them to “Host” your website. Again, there’s “Free” stuff for you and then there’s “Upgrades” that get better the more you pay.
THE CONCEPT
You advertise your site (another learning curve) and prospective buyers follow a link to your webpage and from there click on the company link to be taken to an order page. The company tracks what they purchase and then each company determines how much they pay for your getting the customer to them and how long you will be credited for any subsequent purchases. In Amazon’s case, if they just go look but don’t want to buy right away, you only will be credited for any purchase made within 24 hours. So if the customer decides to wait until payday next week and then goes straight to Amazon to make their purchase, you will not receive credit for the sale.

Don’t get me wrong, the Easy Way still involves work on your part. You will be hiring yourself to be your employee so success depends on providing and delivering the best your company has to offer.
